Kindergarten
News
*We are still trying to schedule Spring Conferences.  Please return your form by tomorrow.  This is the last scheduled conference for the year.

*Remember, students need to be ready to enter the classroom at 8:15 each morning.  Make sure your child has used the bathroom and is ready for learning when the teacher opens the door.  If the door is closed, please go to the office for a tardy slip.

*Please remember to clip and turn in Box Tops for Education.   You can often find them on General Mills and Betty Crocker items.

*We celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss last week by making green eggs and ham and reading many Dr. Seuss books.  When you go to the public library look for Dr. Seuss books to read with your child.

*This Friday is a Teacher Work Day so there will be no school for students.

*Have a nice week!

Kinder News

March 5, 2014

Dear Parents,

It is very hard to believe that March is already here.  This month we will continue to go to the Computer Lab.  We have included the directions for logging into Jiji attached to the back of this newsletter.
March is another month that the school district requires us to do quite a few assessments in Kindergarten.  They are very similar to the assessments we did last fall.  This is a way for us to see the growth your child has made in many areas.  Spring conferences will begin on Thursday, March 20th, and continue until Friday, March 28th.  Kindergarten students will be dismissed from school at 12:05 on all of those days.  The conference confirmation sheets are in today’sWednesday envelope.
March homework packets are being sent home today.  Please return the February homework by the end of this week.  Thank you.
The sharing themes that we will cover in Kindergarten this month are Dr. Seuss, spring, St. Patrick’s Day and sea life.
There is no school for the children on Friday, March 14th.  This is a Work Day for the teachers.
Have a terrific month!

Sincerely,
The Kindergarten Team
